Interview Neo Soul Singer Jazzmine @Pr3pster

GLAMher: When did you start writing/creating music and knew exactly what genre you wanted to be in?

Jazzmine: I’ve been creating since I was tiny. I’ve been writing since I was extremely young but I did not tap into song writing to it’s fullest until I would say 15. Till this day I don’t place my music in a category but the world would throw me into the line of soul/ neo soul, but in my realm and my mind I still debate what genre I classify to be in.

GLAMher: What makes you stand out as an artist compared to known artists?

Jazzmine: Im the artist that makes sure i related to your every hidden emotion using my own… When you’re telling your own personal story you’ve just related to millions of others and that understanding and connection is needed. I stand out because I stay true to what my mind creates and what my experience carries. On stage I’m me I give real and I dish it raw no faking. It’s truth and that’s why I stand out.

GLAMher: We stand for GLAMherous. So what makes you GLAMherous as a person and artist?

Jazzmine: Love the word first off lol. I’m an individual who stands for always being unique. I’m confident not just only in my music but myself as well. Most importantly I’m just not for self but for The purpose of the people and as an artist I try and reach out to the broken hearted or the ones who just need someone to relate to. I’m for the people.

GLAMher: What can we expect from you music wise in the next few months? Where can we download and/or listen to your music

Jazzmine: I’m currently working on a lot of things. First and for most my album Loves Bullet is still in the process of being made. I believe I’m going to release just a teaser demo because I’ve been perfecting it for so long and I have more eager listeners than I thought lol. I’m also working with two producers byron The aquarius for Mr Porter Productions who did Production on my album and D.focis which I team with him to write for artist. I’m always doing covers and request on YouTube music10189. If you want a download I and only I will personally send them and I can be contacted jgarfield17@yahoo.com.

GLAMher: Exactly what are you trying to pursue with your career? How far do you want to take it?

Jazzmine: I’m always asked this question and too many people answer it so vaguely. My music is my purpose so for me it’s bigger than a career. My words lead, my music guides. So exactly we all want a contract that’s what we all pursue. But for me  I’m hoping to establish my ground so I can be vessel. I want to bring the days when lyrics were heard more than the beat. So as long as the bass thumps, and the guitar plays im in this until my eyes close shut for good lol.

GLAMher: What can your music do for our LGBT community?

Jazzmine: I want to be our communities musical Oprah/ellen lol. I want to use this profession to set up ground to open minds. It’s too many people out there stereotyping us. One door of music could open another door of change. It’s a strong statement as a lesbian in a society of norms. When one can set foot in such a close minded society our community is a step closer to complete change. My music is going to do that.

GLAMher: What type of events do you perform at? When can we expect to see you perform next?

Jazzmine: I usually do spots at clubs and special events. I’m so busy doing studio work that I’ve been behind the scenes more so on the stage. Follow my twitter @pr3pster I’m always giving my next moves along with my randomness.

GLAMher: In closing of this interview, we would like to describe your music in 3 simple adjectives that would make someone want to listen.

Jazzmine: Unique,REAL, JAZZMINE!!!

cclear asked: Hey I was wondering what it is that you do specifically? Also how could I become more involved if I took further interest :)

Hello I am Lady Bunny. One of the main lipsticks of the organization also known as Barbie. We are more than a house and a family. We want to help ourselves and other artists get their name out and show how GLAMherous they are. You can become involved by telling us exactly what makes you GLAMherous it could be drawing, dancing, singing, tattoos, musician, etc. WE will write a blog about you and interview you. If youre in a city we can meet up, we can definitely do that :)
